    Jr. tearing it up today

Jr has 2 hr's and 6 rbi's. he is also batting .714 for the WBC. He looks good and healthy. Let's just hope he keeps some of these swings for the real games.

It may have been against South Africa, but that first home run Griffey had was a bomb plain and simple. He is hitting the ball hard and often.

Griffey is primed for another huge year like 2005. You can tell just by the way he is swinging. Hopefully he can stay healthy and play 145 games this year.

there is a difference this year - he is healthy early on. last year, April was the equivelance to his Spring Training.
i'd love to see him tear it up during the regular season.

Great point. He started VERY slowly last year. We all hope he can come out fo the chute smokin' hot.

Re: Jr. tearing it up today

Excuse me for saying this, but...

I've been waiting for the first post to say, "Now that's he's hot, let's trade him for...(place name of unproven pitching prospect or unproven infielder here).

    So far, nothing.

We have a national treasure to watch in Junior. Let's enjoy it. I seriously doubt that we can get anyone (even a pitcher) that would make more impact on the team than Ken Griffey Junior.

Even if he only plays 100 games, you cannot count the number of ways he makes this team better.
