It's just a guess. My reasoning is that he's got a bit of a bitter streak in him and he's competed with WMP for playing time before and very well could again. WMP is not participating in workouts either. He could be a bit envious of WMP too. Whomever said it has a point but they should mind their own business.

I would have guessed a pitcher, or at least someone not in competition with WMP for time. If I were Kearns and thought WMP's absence would retard his progress, I would be doing cartwheels and handing out cigars since it would likely result in more playing time for me.

Could be but only a few pitchers have room to criticize.

Well other than DeWayne Wise and Q. Mckracken are any of the outfielders in camp doing anything in the games which would seem to be helping the team? Maybe if Dunn had gone to the WBC he would actually be playing 1st.

I doubt it would be someone competing with Wily Mo for an OF position. They would rather him be rusty and lose a spot, so that they could make the team or a starting role.

Sounds like someone that played on the team last year. Someone that has played enough to the point where they feel they are really apart of the team.

My guess is Rich Aurilia. It sounds like something he would say.

    That's never stopped them before.

I was thinking Kearns too. This in no way really affects the pitcher or infielders, and the guys competing for the 4th & 5th OF spot would likely keep their mouths shut. Kearns has come off sounding a little bitter about WMP on more than one occasion.

Might have been Wagner; he's been known for his mouth on occasion.

Whomever the guy was, he was "us", as in team. It could be anyone, not just an outfielder.
