How many innings did Reds' starters average per start as a team last season?

And any predictions for this season? I say they average less as a team. A lot less.

The innings thing has kinda been a burr in your saddle lately, hasn't it?

    Reds starters, total innings pitched:

    2005 - 919
    2004 - 905.2
    2003 - 882
    2002 - 879.2

That's roughly 5.1 IP/start on low side and 5.2 IP/start on the high side. Seeing as the team only has two starters worth a damn (thus my signature), I could see the club dropping down under the 900 IP mark this season. Though Harang, who pretty much eliminated the need for handwringing today, and Claussen could give the club 400+ between them. So it would take some spectacularly bad pitching from the 3-4-5 guys to bury the IP count. Unfortunately, it looks like those guys might be up to the challenge.
