    Middle Infielders This Spring

We all know that ST stats are generally unreliable when attempting to estimate possible performance once the real season begins.

But here's a look at what the Reds' middle infield guys have done thus far in Florida as to just offense and in particular their on base plus slugging.

    T Womack .441 .419 .860

    R Aurilia .333 .500 .833

    F Lopez .268 .300 .568

    R Freel .186 .154 .340

If the Reds were in the 7th game of the World Series tomorrow, who would be your SS and 2B? Obviously that entails numerous assumptions, so for starters, let's say that Clemens is pitching against Harang.

I'm tempted to play Lopez and Womack to bat LH against Clemens, especially with my not knowing Harang's ground ball/fly ball splits. What if the opposing pitcher were a southpaw like Randy Johnson or the Reds were throwing a fly ball pitcher like Milton?

Sorry for all of the hypotheticals, but remembering that we're assuming that the game is tomorrow and the the above stats (although they are only ST stats) are not hypothetical, would you consider them?
