Then I said that I would take a wait and see approach, and that is pretty much the approach I take with most trades. I rather liked Wily Mo, or should I say I liked the potential that he has, but at the time I knew realistically that the Reds needed pitching and he was one of those expendable pieces. I don't follow the AL that closely so I didn't have much of an opinion on Bronson before he came here, other than what I had seen of him in the post season the previous year. So with what I knew at the moment, my wait and see approach was about the best I could offer.
Hindsight being what it is, I am happy with the trade, but I can also say that I found this thread to be very good reading the first time around, as well as now. There are so many folks on here who pay more attention to the game outside of Cincinnati that I sometimes feel like I have nothing much to offer regarding players who don't play here or the discussion of potential trades. I guess that's why I've done more reading than posting lately, especially in the off season.
