People are assuming that Dunn is still willing to play 1st. Maybe that is a big part of why Pena was sent packing, perhaps Dunn gave it a shot but didnt feel like embarassing himself for 162 games so he asked to be moved back to LF. At least he didnt go Soriano on us, and also perhaps Narron watched him for awhile much closer then us and figured he couldnt do it.

Also Hatteberg at the plate doesnt scare me near as much as Hatteberg in the field. If anything is hit to the right side of our infield and it is not right at someone its going to be a hit.
Dunn has 106 games played at 1st, I think he knows how to play it.
Something tells me Pena was moved to open a spot for Hatteberg more then moving Dunn back to left.

Yes, you caught the same thing I caught - and Hatteberg's a career .260+ batter.Dunns a career .248 hitter.
Elsewhere someone commented that Pena was moved to make room for Hatteberg. On the contrary, Pena was moved to shore up our abysmal pitching rotation. We all knew when Hatteberg was signed, something was afoot. He's a stopgap player while Wayne K. clears out the system's arteries. Just think of him as Lipitor with a glove and bat.
If the big gorilla wants to play the outfield, let him.
He's not Alfonso Soriano. We want to keep him happy, and want him to stay here beyond his contract. He's the franchise.
