    Wily Becomes Mythical

Since his trade to teh BoSox a couple days ago the myth and legend that is Wily Mo Pena has grown...now I can see for generations to come children will sit on the lap of their fathers while dear old dad tells the kids about "the one that got away!"

Wily with long locks in a tight braid would go too bat blindfolded and use just one arm to make his mighty swing send the ball into other deminsions....yes, children, wily would move from base to base using nothing more than thought and froze time as he crossed the plate to greet the catcher and his teammate with a song sun in the voice of angels...yes, but the Reds trade him away for a pitcher...
"Sometimes, it's not the sexiest moves that put you over the top," Krivsky said. "It's a series of transactions that help you get there."

No I didn't, initial his name was too holy to spell or even think completely.

I was having a bad day, until I read this.
The Sox traded Bullfrog the only player they've got for Shottenhoffen. Four-eyes Shottenhoffen a utility infielder. They've got a whole team of utility infielders.

Well you forgot to add that he was bigger than Paul Bunyan and had the strength of a whole team of oxen.

Is this the Reds first trade involving a swap of players who both had braided hair the previous season?

I wonder how many times Paul swung at a tree and missed? Or how many times Babe the Blue Ox threw Paul a popup and Mr. Bunyan misjudged it and let it drop?

We all know that Wily Mythical Pena has never had those problems...

    Re: Wily Becomes Mythical

Remember the time that the world was under attack by aliens and Wily Mo picked up his bat and took on all three of the aliens right there in downtown New York?!?!

That bus went flying through the air and almost hit that lady with that little baby but Wily Mo jumped in front of them just in time and the bus shattered into a million little pieces...gladly the bus was empty so nobody on board was hurt.

Add your Wily Mo Memories of Mythical Magnitude...

Maybe Wily being traded just opens up the door for Coombs to be called up.

I hope Wily does well in Boston, and I think he will if he learns to hit the hook. That wall in left was made for him. He'll probably have a lot of doubles off that thing too.
