    Wise to depend on Wise?

Not sure I can understand sending Denorfia down and Keeping Wise. Of course that may change now that he's injured. But really, in over 300 ab's with the Toledo Mud Hens last year Wise hit.234 and couldn't get on base to save his life. He can run and maybe play defense but so can Denorfia! Why the fascination with him this year? I know the argument about Denorfia needing playing time. I'd feel more comfortable with McKracken.

Denorfia's going to sit the bench in Cincinnati with the current arrangement. There are many that think he should play center, move Jr. to left, and Dunn back to first but that's not going to happen. So he would sit the bench.

The thinking is he's better playing every day in AAA then sitting the bench in Cincinnati.

An update from Marc's blog on Wise's status....

It doesn't look good for him making the team now.

SARASOTA -- The news on Dewayne Wise's ankle isn't good, but it could be worse.

"It wasn’t fractured, but he’s going to be out for a while," said Jerry Narron. "It’s doubtful he’ll play in a game down here, then we’ll see how long it takes him to get ready."

I thought Wise was going to make this team. It's a shame that happened last night.

    That's too bad...
"Sometimes, it's not the sexiest moves that put you over the top," Krivsky said. "It's a series of transactions that help you get there."
