GAC, My thoughts and prayers are with you. I know better than most what you are going through.

My wife and I went through this early in our marriage. We'd been married 3 years. She was asleep in the bed and I was at work, she barely made it out, but she did make it out. We lost everything. I know it seems bleak now, but as long as everyone is safe the other stuff becomes irrelevant.

Please let us know if there is any way we can help.

That is terrible news, it plain sucks!

I would mention my prayers would be with you but that would make this a religious thread and such have to be shut down, so I will just say "Thinking of you"

PS. does that mean the "pray" emoticon must be banned too?

Re: Prayer request: GAC's house has burned down

Dear God--what a tragedy. GAC, you and your family will all be in my family's prayers.

This might be an inappropriate time to suggest as much...but would it be possible to funnel the "RedsZone Board Tip Jar" funds to GAC for those members who are okay with the gesture?

I was getting ready to mail my money order to RedRead (so that he could PayPal to the tip jar on my behalf). I think until GAC's insurance company can produce, the money could be better served elsewhere and we can worry about the Board a little bit later.

    Just my thoughts,

    Blimpie

I'm glad they are all safe. I hope they can stay strong and make it through this tragedy.

Is there a relief fund for the family, possibly through GAC's church? If so, could someone please post donation information?

To any of you in contact with GAC,

Let us know the what's, how's and where's for how to help. I imagine some Walmart/Target/Restaurant sort of gifts cards would be most helpful right away for clothes and immediate necessities. Let us know if he's staying with family and if there's an address we can send stuff.

Thank goodness everyone's O.K. My heart goes out to you.

I just wanted to show my support for GAC as well.

I've never met him in person, but I live in his area of Ohio, so if he needs anything... let me know.
