So that leaves the Cubs with Rusch,Zambrano, and a few younger arms for Dusty Baker to ruin.

If I were the Cubs now would be the time to cut bait with both of these guys, I don't either will ever be able to make 30 starts again, trade them (when they come off the DL) while they have value..or toss Wood in the pen and see what happens.

I think at 24, its a little early to give up on Mark Prior, krono. Wood, I would think having him in the bullpen might be a big thing for them if he can get into the mindset of being a closer.

You know, I woke up this morning thinking, "Hey, it's about time for Prior and Wood to go on the DL, isn't it?"

Seriously you could set you clock to those guys.

Then again, as I cross my fingers, I hold my breath everytime Griffey has to do anything.

Poor Cubbies. Its like they are cursed.

Hmm, Prior and Wood on the DL, imagine that.

Yeah but they just threw Dempster a few million to close for them.

This is a real shame. Kerry Wood could've had a fantastic career had he not been constantly abused by his managers. Now the bullpen might be the only thing his arm can handle. If the Cubs don't wise up and dump Baker soon then Prior will meet the same fate, and he has an even higher ceiling than Wood did.

I really want the Reds to get some quality starting pitching, but I am also glad the Reds never traded Dunn to the Cubs for either Prior or Wood.
