Rosey Greir was fanstastic in The Man with Two Heads.
When I see the 2016 Reds, I see a 100 loss team and no direction.

And, of course, Keith Hernandez and Roger McDowell in the famous "spitting" episode.

But really, the intention was to talk more about guys who really tried to make a go of an entertainment career...not just guys making cameo apperances.

That said...I loved Andre the Giant in The Princes Bride.

Joe Namath briefly had a TV series and made a couple of movies, including "Norwood" with Glen Campbell and "C.C. and Company" with Ann Margret.
Joe Namath was also in "Chattanooa Choo-Choo," quite possibly the best football-team-on-a-train movie of all time.

If you consider being a circus acrobat an athlete, then Burt Lancaster makes the list. He was an acrobat as a youth before suffering an injury.
