But Dolan is fine with Isiah Thomas and Stephon Marbury? Good. Go ahead and pencil the Knicks in for another 8-10 years of putrid basketball.
I will take Larry Brown's track record over Isiah's as a coach or executive any day of the week and twice on sunday. Im glad the knicks are going to be terrible for the next few years, if only Isiah could get a job as gm of the Yankees.
When I see the 2016 Reds, I see a 100 loss team and no direction.
Thomas should have resigned and taken the head coaching job at IU. They say former players have a recruiting edge, how about NBA hall of famers? Instead they got "Phone Call" Sampson.
The Knicks are run by morons, has been that way for quite awhile now, don't expect anything to change anytime soon.
Nothing personal towards any New Yorkers, but I love to see controversy with any New York sports team. I have never liked any New York teams in any sport. No real reason for it... I guess it is just the midwestern thing inside of me. Same goes for West Coast teams. Oh.... and Univ. of Michigan too! Oh... and teh Browns, Steelers and Ravens as well. Oh... and all NL Central teams except our beloved REDS!
Guess I just don't like too many teams, but the ones I follow with blind passion.
Well that whole thing went well.
I am a Knick fan. I am beginning to think I need a new team, cause I stopped following basketball when Scott Layden ruined the Knicks and then Isiah ruined them even more. Larry Brown is the guy who can turn this around, so instead of working with him and getting rid of Isiah, Starbury, Stevie Franchise and getting Larry's kind of players (which has a proven track record) we get this.
Charlotte Bobcats anyone?

Didn't Isiah almost ruin an entire league with his handling of the CBA? One team should be small peanuts for a guy who can almost ruin an entire league.
He didnt almost ruin the CBA, he did ruin the CBA. All I can say about Isiah is that he must interview really well.Originally Posted by RedFanAlways1966

I'm not sure if a person could have gone into that situation with the express goal of making the absolute worst decisions and done any worse than Isiah.
The problem with Larry's players is that they turn on him after a season. IMO, Larry Brown is the NBA's version of Jim Leyland. If you have a stacked team that is underachieving, he might be what you are looking for to put your team over the top.Originally Posted by Puffy
The Knicks, on the other hand, have upstaged the LA Clippers(now in the playoffs) as the biggest laughingstock in the NBA. They basically gave away a top three pick for a center who has averaged 5 rebounds a game in his career. Rudy Gay, LaMarcus Alridge, or Adam Morrison would look really good next to Channing Frye right now.
