    In between innings:

The announcers check out women in the crowd while their microphones are still on.

    Top of the 4th:

Abad flies out to CF, 1 out.

    Bannon singles to CF.

Hopper hits a ball to Belliard that takes another crappy hop. E-4, runners on 1st and 2nd.

Full count on Menechino, single to RCF. Bannon scores, Hopper goes to 3rd.

EE flies out to shallow left, runners can't advance. 2 outs.

Cruz PHs for Griffey. K's on a 1-2 count. 3 outs. 5-2 Reds.

Seems like a silly time in the game to pinch hit for KGJr... with a runner on third?

Doc, you beat me to it, as I came here to post that. I really like that kid, hoping to see good things from him this season.

    In between again:

Time to check out the ladies at the municipal pool. Wow. I wonder if they know that people don't watch commercials when they're using MLBtv. "Adam Grosangles?" Nice. Adam Rosales comes in to play SS. EE's out of the game, I think Bannon moved to 3rd.

    Bottom of the 4th:

Hafner lines out to RF, 1 out.

Martinez grounds out to Menechino, who falls down or jumps out of the way before it gets to him. 2 outs.

    Perez doubles to LF.

Belliard (I think) pops out to shallow CF, 3 outs. 5-2 Reds.

The announcers said he has a house nearby and probably went home.

That is not very scrappy of him. At least stay until the end of the game

I have never heard of half the guys they keep bringing out there.

I must be dense because I thought as roster cuts were made that the no-names were gone.

    Top of the 5th:

Dunn leads off again... and promptly puts one out to RCF! Announcers say its one of the longest shots they've seen at that stadium. Not very KRISPY, though. It was clearly a soft HR :. No mention of strikeouts this time.

    Valentine singles to LCF.

Buchanan pops out to 1B in foul territory, 1 out.

Abad flies out to LF on the first pitch, 2 outs.

Bannon grounds out to SS, 3 outs. 6-2 Reds.

Well, he did yank it to right. Shame, shame, shame.

They just use minor-leaguers occasionally during ST to fill space, especially during the last week. Nobody really enforces roster rules in ST. They really do the same thing in football- the last preseason game is usually packed with scrubs.

They're just bringing up folks from minor league camp to play out these last few games. I think jobs have been decided and just giving the regs one last break.

Re: Game Thread 3/31 at Indians

Norris Hopper is now in LF and Chris Dickerson, slated for AA this year, in center.

Claussen loads the bases with a pair of walks and a hit batter. Nobody out. Grounder to third is turned into a 5-4-3 by Bannon and Menechino! Indians score one, now 5-3.

Bannon spears a liner with a dive and the inning ends. Man, did he eat his Wheaties this morning.

    In between:

    Time to watch people fish.

    Bottom of the 5th:

Chris Dickerson goes to CF, Hopper moves to LF. Dunn leaves the game, thus allowing for more scrappiness.

    Boone singles to left.

Blake walks on four pitches, Boone to 2nd.

Sizemore HBP, must have nicked his jersey. Bases loaded, 0 outs.

Michaels: 5-4-3 double play, 1 run scores. Bannon plays yet another bad hop well. 2 outs.

Peralta lines out to Bannon who makes another good play. 3 outs. 6-3 Reds.
