    EA Sports NFL Head Coach

My dad got to enjoy 3 Reds World Championships by the time he was my age. So far, I've only gotten to enjoy one. Step it up Redlegs!

Nice. I've been looking for a "design your own plays" game since like frontpage sports '95 or so.

That means it's good. I'm very interested in it also. I normally play in "coach mode" anyways. I don't have alot of faith in EA to pull it off, however.

Im definitely marking this one down, even with Cowher on the front.

I thought Cowher was going to get the Madden curse this year with it.

Re: EA Sports NFL Head Coach

I just read the write up that was done on IGN.com for this game:

    http://xbox.ign.com/articles/699/699404p1.html

I have to say, this has a chance of becoming the greatest sports franchise in history. According to the article, the game is compatible with the XBox and PS2 "headset" accessories, allowing users to call their plays via voice recognition.

I mean, seriously -- what NFL fan hasn't dreamt of sitting in the box or standing on the sideline barking out "Red 96 two back switch Y check short" or getting on the helmet speaker and telling the quarterback to watch the blitz? Plus, this will raise smack-talking to a whole new level. Beating someone in Madden is fun, but it usually comes down to a matter of skill. Out coaching someone? That's a whole different kind of insulting.

I also read where they will not only have the real head coaches, they'll also have the real coordinators and assistants.
I used to like playing Madden but not anymore. I still play NFL 2K5, but I'm definitely going to give this game a try.

Just bought it today. Its like "The Sims" but with an NFL twist.

So far, color me impressed. I'll get a full review out over the weekend.

I'm looking forward to reviews from those of you who buy it. Looks intriguing, athough I may have bad dreams tonight after seeing that Cowher wallpaper on their website
