He just walked Thome on a 3-2 count. Runners at first and second, one out. Konerko is up.

    Why was Sabathia taken out?

Sabathia left the game due to injury. Graves inherited an 0-1 count on Thome, and he still walked him. Then he immediately proceeds to throw the ball into center field on a pickoff throw to second base.

    How serious was Sabathia's injury?
My dad got to enjoy 3 Reds World Championships by the time he was my age. So far, I've only gotten to enjoy one. Step it up Redlegs!
