Lefty relief Eric DuBose avail - REDS GET HIM!

He won't clear waivers. Some personal issues have tainted his career, but those "in the know" will still have faith in him on the hill. i.e. The Red Sox. Reds please don't let him pass!!!

DuBose has a sharp-breaking curveball. While it isn't a 12-to-6 curve, it is very effective because of its quick break. He's effective when he spots it over the outside corner, rather than in the middle of the plate. His fastball usually arrives in the 88-90 MPH range. DuBose knows how to use it to set up his breaking ball and give hitters a different look. His changeup is solid average and he uses it just to show hitters a different speed. He lacks an effective pitch against righthanded batters. DuBose has a good move to first, but is no more than an average fielder.

Besides the fact that our bullpen sucks? AND he's free?!
I've been watching him for years. Not on tv, but with my own eyeballs. He's head and shoulders above some of the crap we have here.

We need another left handed specialist? Especially one with "personal issues?"
No thanks, even if he is "free," unless he can close games.

His stats don't look very good at all. Although most of his duty has been as a starter.

Womack,Hammond and White all need to be DFA'd. But that would mean Cast would have to eat close to 3 million dollars. Considering the sunk costs they are, hopefully Krivsky will spritely bring Cast to that same conclusion soon.

Womack doesn't need to go anywhere yet.

Not really. RA is more of a corner infielder, and Phillips will be the backup SS. We have 4 guys that "can" play the position, but not off all them will. I am sure somebody is going to be traded, but there is no need to eat Womack's contract right now.

it's a sunk cost. The question is do you want them to continue to play and hurt your chances or perform some addition by subtraction

Hmmmmm, does he Know How To Win? Can he Play The Game The Right Way? Could he catch or play 2nd in a pinch?

Seriously, he cannot be any worse than the chaff we are throwing out there right now. We can always send Belisle down.
