Happy 65th Birthday to the Hit King

Pete Rose was born April 14, 1941. Happy birthday Charlie Hustle, thanks for the good memories, I'll let the bad ones go for today.
My dad got to enjoy 3 Reds World Championships by the time he was my age. So far, I've only gotten to enjoy one. Step it up Redlegs!

Most of us are probably disgusted with Pete Rose, the man.

We will always love Pete Rose, the ballplayer.

I'm like SAVA I will choose to remember Pete Rose, the ballplayer. His running to 1st base when he walked;headfirst slides;the 44 game hitting streak;his return to the Reds in 1984 and breaking the all time hit record. He will always be my favorite ballplayer but not favorite person. Happy Birthday!

One of my most fond baseball memories was seeing Pete get his first hit at Crosley. I had the pleasure of watching Pete the ballplayer from the time he broke in and enjoyed his career. It's a shame that his pesonal life doesn't mirror his professional career, but his baseball career speaks for itself. Thanks for the great baseball memories Pete.

My dad got some glimses of Pete before he hit the majors, in Dayton, I believe. He said it was obvious the guy was destened for greatness.
    Great player.
    The rest...'nuff said.

    Happy birthday Pete!

You were also my favorite player and my hero as a kid, when we didn't know about your weaknesses. I still like your style as a player, Charlie Hustle.

Now that you can collect Social Security maybe we won't see you hawking autographs quite so often on the Vegas strip!

I also hope you make into the Hall soon!
