    Lineup Toy

    http://home.comcast.net/~stein.steph...mp/lineup.html

You pick the players, it gives you the best lineup. Only problem is that you have to select nine players, and pitchers aren't included, so it's making you pick a DH. That said, here is the lineup it generated for me:

    1 Freel
    2 Larue
    3 Griffey
    4 Dunn
    5 Lopez
    6 Kearns
    7 Aurilia
    8 Hatteberg
    9 Womack

It says that this lineup will have a RC/27 of 5.6
My dad got to enjoy 3 Reds World Championships by the time he was my age. So far, I've only gotten to enjoy one. Step it up Redlegs!

You can select a pitcher from the list, such as Aaron Harang.

So no, it does not force you to use a DH..

I got Hatteberg batting 8th, behind Ross.

    Re: Lineup Toy

A few of us went through some similar sites awhile back. LaRue gets thrown in the 2 hole because his OBP is higher than Lopez (.355 to .352 last year). When I used the same logic but with my own stat predictions I got

    Freel
    Lopez
    Griffey
    Dunn
    Kearns
    Encarnacion
    LaRue/Valentin
    Hatteberg
    Pitcher (Womack)
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

    Re: Lineup Toy

Yes mine came out fine. I had to use Ross to achieve my desired effect.

    1. Freel
    2. Lopez
    3. Griffey
    4. Dunn
    5. Kearns
    6. Aurilia
    7. EE
    8. Ross
    9. Harang

Unfortunately this is the only way to get the desired effect. Even Javy takes the 2nd spot over Felipe.

I wish that was the Bats lineup. It would mean a certain few guys are off the Reds active roster.

    Re: Lineup Toy

Wish we still had Walker and Boone. That would be one hell of a line-up.

    Walker 2nd
    Lopez SS
    EE 1st
    Griffey CF
    Dunn LF
    Kearns RF
    Boone 3b
    LaRue C

Try EE at first, what the hell. I'm pretty sure he could do it..
