Johnny Cueto is pitching tonight (werent we discussing him in another thread earlier today?).
Strikes out the first batter with two fast balls and a curve on the outside corner of the plate.
Serves up a HR on an 0-2 pitch to Colby Rasmus to tie the game.
Next batter grounds out to the second baseman.
Cueto strikes out the 4th batter of the inning.
We are tied at 1-1 after 1.

Bruce is on fire. Now hitting .340/.407/.642 - and keep in mind that he went through a 0-for-18 slump not too long ago.

Missed a little of the top of the 2nd, but saw that BJ Szymanski hit into a double play.
    Cabrera get a single.
Chris Denove pops up to end the inning.
    Still 1-1

Yeah he is OBM, I think he is well out of that slump now. Since that slump he has been tearing the cover off of the baseball.

First batter of the inning pops up to CF Szymanski.
Second batter hits a grounder to the SS who takes care of him.
Announcer makes a comment that Paul Janish has a tender hammy and just is being given an off day. Eric Eymann is filling in for him today.
Cueto strikes out the third batter on a fastball.

DeJesus walks to lead off the inning for the Dragons.
Griffin hits one off the wall for a stand up double. DeJesus is held at 3rd.
Eric Eymann works it to a full count before striking out.
Announcer remarks that Paul Janish is the 1st base coach tonight.
Jay Bruce comes to the plate with 2 runners in scoring position gets a sacrafice fly that scores a run. The announcer states that has to be the shortest sac fly in the history of the Dragons. Still a runner at second base.
Craig Tatum comes up with a 3 pitch strikeout.
Dragons take the lead on a Jay Bruce sac fly, 2-1 after 2 1/2 innings.

Cueto strikes out one of the best named baseball players ever in my opinion, Wes Swackhammer, on three pitches.
I missed how the next out came to, but it happened.
Back to the top of the lineup and Cueto walks his first batter of the year. That makes his k/bb ratio 18/1. Not shabby.
Announcer says Cueto throws his fastball at 95 and his changeup at 75. He has also been praising his curve tonight.
Rasmus gets an opposite field single, Nelson advances to 2nd base.
Van Slyke grounds out to the first baseman who tossed to Ceuto to end the inning.
    Dayton up 2-1.

    *Sarasota Update*
Sarasota is up 4-1 after 5 innings. Camillo Vazquez has given up 2 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 4.

BJ Szymanski leads off the inning by popping up to the LFer.
Bobby Mosby pops up on the infield to the first baseman.
Cabrera grounds to the third baseman, who boots the ball. Reached on an error.
Chris Denove comes up and hits a hard shot at first base who let it go in and out. Announcer says he would score it a hit, but the official scorer disagrees. Denove reaches on an error by the first baseman.
DeJesus flies out to right field and strands two.

    Through 3 1/2, Dragons lead 2-1.

Cueto sounds like he could be a good one. Mid 90's fastball, a changeup that he throws 20 mph slower than his fastball, and a good curveball. Sounds like he has command of all three pitches, which is a big plus.

Missed what happened due to some dog issues, but its now tied at 2.
Dragons are batting and Eric Eymann was hit by a pitch with 1 out.
Jay Bruce grounds out to first baseman Van Slyke. Eymann advances to second.
Last out made, didnt catch how, still 2-2.

Very surprised by Vazquez. I saw him when Dayton came up to South Bend last year, and wasn't particularly impressed, but he's really done a great job with his command so far this year. Actually sat right behind him and Rafeal Gonzalez(I think) at one of those games.

Maybe CV has rebuilt his arm strength after TJ. He was only topping out at 90-91, maybe he is back up to 93-94.
