    Which is the better move?

Send Williams to Louisville and replace him in the rotation with Germano?

Flip flop Williams and Belisle so Williams becomes the swing man?

Call up Germano, make Williams a middle inning left handed specialist and send Hammond packing?

Is Krivsky considering any of these moves?

i'd fish and then cut bait.

I'd toss darts at a Dan O'Brien picture, cursing the mess I was left.

I'd research every pitcher in the draft.

In November, I'd wine & dine every living and good starting and relief pitcher to Montgomery Inn that's an FA and get a couple of good ones.
Some people play baseball. Baseball plays Jay Bruce.

uh - someone else can correct me if they know otherwise, but Williams is now a 5 year vet, so that would mean it's extremely unlikely he has any options remaining to demote him.

He'd either need to be designated for assignment or released and agree to go to Louisville.

So I'd give up the idea of him going to Louisville

I believe Williams has options left and can be sent to Louisville.

Would it really be so awful if someone claimed him off waivers? Krivsky should say, "Be my guest!"

Send him to AAA, put Belisle, Germano or Lizardo into the rotation.

send williams down to AAA untill wilson is ready. either make germano the 5th starter or call someone up from AA. the braves seem to do it all the time.
there's nothing like bowling a 300 game! 13 now and retired.

I don't see Wilson ever getting ready. He was already borderline before he blew his shoulder out this last team. He is likely to haff stuff similar to Williams. I would be surprised if he is able to break 85 with his fastball.

Agreed -- I look for Paul Wilson to have a string of "setbacks" and finally get pushed to the DL for the remainder of the season before retiring.

I think we've seen the last of Paul Wilson.

I agree with you all that DW needs out of the Starting rotation but I really don't know if Belisle should be the starter in Williams place. You all do remember what happened last year when they put Belisle in the starting rotation don't you?? He pitched just as bad as Williams is now.If I was going to let him be the starter for a game I would'nt tell him until right before the game started. The reason why I say this is b/c he pitches great when you just throw him in the game, but when he knows hes going to pitch he gets all nervous and can't do a thing.

Have Williams and Womack fight to the death to determine which one stays on the 25 man roster...

In all seriousness, Williams needs to go dominate on some level to regain some confidence to be able to challenge hitters (maybe Knothole, Babe Ruth, AABC, CYO, etc....) or else he will continue to be useless to us. As for Womack, with B Phil playing well, Freel needing to roam CF in KGJ's absence, and Womack's own demand to only play 2B, his only really valid option is to get his agent on the phone and find out if anyone else in the league wants/needs him. I don't think the Reds want and or need him anymore with the addition of B Phil to the infield mix.
