Funny you should ask. The Mrs. and I are watching it tonight, which is what made me think of the other two. We love Best in Show. "Harlan, would you stop naming nuts."

    Brilliant cast and writers.

    Classic.

I can't walk into a DQ without thinking of Parker Posey.

I hope she's getting paid a ridiculous sum for those Pepsi commercials. She should be getting at least twice as much as Jimmy Fallon.

Let's face it, Christopher Guest is a very funny man. I love them all, but Best in Show is my fav.

The Awful Truth is on my list of best comedy movies...screwball epitomy.

thanks! Doh - the other WC movie is Bank Dick.
AGreed with all that the spinal tap folks do. Mighty Wind is hilarious - all of them are!!!
Word has it that, in NYC in the early seventies after an off-broadway show opening, actor/writer Christopher Guest sent EVERY cast memeber a personal note saying: "You are my favorite".

I don't think I saw Fletch on the list. Now as far as I am concerned Fletch lives never happened so don't bring that up but who couldn't like lines like:
Dr. Joseph Dolan: You know, it's a shame about Ed.
Fletch: Oh, it was. Yeah, it was really a shame. To go so suddenly like that.
Dr. Joseph Dolan: He was dying for years.
Fletch: Sure, but... the end was very... very sudden.
Dr. Joseph Dolan: He was in intensive care for eight weeks.
Fletch: Yeah, but I mean the very end, when he actually died. That was extremely sudden.
    Fletch: I'm John.
    Gail Stanwyk: Ohhhh, John.
    [they laugh]
    Gail Stanwyk: John who?
    Fletch: John Cock... tos... ton.
Gail Stanwyk: That's a beautiful name.
    Fletch: Well, it's Scotch/Romanian.
Gail Stanwyk: That's an odd combination.
Fletch: Yeah, well, so were my parents.

The movie Roadhouse makes me laugh every time I see it. Leaves me in stiches, but I guess this is supposed to be about comedies.

I haven't seen Christmas Vacation listed yet or Strange Brew. Good stuff.

Fletch Lives isn't terrible. It's just a product of the 80s.

    .
I agree. You really can't go wrong with Terry Funk on the big screen.
