A comedy classic, set in some godforsaken suburb of KC (must be the Missouri side).

I always laugh at the fact that Patrick Swayze straight-up murders about a dozen people, then gets to ride off into the sunset with Kelly Lynch. No cops, no FBI, just frontier justice (must be the Missouri side).

The scenes in the "Double Deuce" also give me a chuckle.

You know what would have made it the perfect comedy movie? A WHIP FIGHT!

After all the great movies that have been listed, I guess the goal is to come up with a few that have not yet been mentioned. How about:

S.O.B. (Favorite flick by Blake Edwards)
The Party (Favorite flick by Peter Sellers)

I can't believe Woody Allen has not been mentioned.

I laughed the hardest in my first Woody Allen (his too), Take the Money and Run....the "glub" note, etc. Annie Hall is my favorite though. Also liked Everything You Wanted To Know...., Manhattan, Everyone Says I Love You, etc. Just saw Match Point last evening...not a comedy, but a good homage to Hitchcock.

Everything You Always Wanted To Know About Sex was hilarious!

The various segments, such as the game show take-off "Whats My Perversion?", Gene Wilder as the pyschologist who falls for Daisy the sheep, and the final sequence where the guy is preparing for intercourse with the girl, and you're inside his body with Tony Randall as his Brain, Burt Reynolds & Co. as helpers, and Woody Allen as a paranoid sperm not wanting to go ("what happens if he is masturbating and we are splattered on the ceiling?") is just too much.

    Some of my favorites:
    "Dumb and Dumber"
    "Naked Gun" trilogy
    "Animal House"
"Used Cars" - starred Kurt Russell and Jack Warden playing dual roles
Love Steve Martin in "The Jerk," but "The Man With Two Brains" is a very underrated comedy movie.
Also agree with the earlier poster about Woody Allen's "Take the Money and Run."

And here's the type of guy I am: Ask me my favorite Tom Hanks movie, and without a stutter, I reply, "Bachelor Party."

This may deserve a thread of its own, but just saw "Thank you for Smoking."

That was absolutely the funniest movie I've seen in many many years.

The Money Pit with Tom Hanks and Shelley Long.

The best comedy movie that has not yet been made could be a Spinal Tap-style mockumentary on Jim Bowden's attempts to field a major league pitching staff circa 2001-2003. We could have an entire chapter on the time he used an ineligible pitcher (Atchley) and his attempts to deflect attention in the media with his verbal diarrhea. We could have a running gag about drafting high school pitchers and blowing out their elbows.
