Freel also grounds out to SS
Freel also grounds out to SS
WTG Ross. Home run
Bad time to be slumping Ryan
Top of 3.
Phillips (.360, 0 BB). Called strike, oddly enough. Swing and a miss. Another swing-and-drop, but Schneider successfully throws to first. One out. Three strikeouts for Ortiz.
Ross (.261). Fouled back. Up high, ball one. HIT DEEP TO LEFT, SORIANO LOOKS UP, SEE YA! UPPER DECK HOMER!
1-0 Reds. #3 for Dave. And a bomb, too.
Arroyo (.222). Back-to-back. Low liner to the SS Clayton, two down. Denied.
Freel (0-1). Fouled away. Check swing, ball's low. Low and in, ball two. Called strike on the outside corner, questionable. Last night was the first time Freel's failed to reach base in a game. Grounder to short, and that ends the inning.
1-0 Reds after 2.5. Ortiz is at 38 pitches. St. Louis leads Pittsburgh 1-0 on an RBI single by Scott Spiezio. No score in the bottom of 2 between Atlanta and Milwaukee.

there's nothing like bowling a 300 game! 13 now and retired.
Ricky henderson has a higher OBP than C. patterson and he's retired. C. Trent 6-14-2008

Q is full of veteran goodness. I may be wrong but I can't see Wayne DFAing Cody three days after trading for him. Q, OTOH, could make it through waivers and be assigned to LOU. I don't know if Ross could. My guess is the Reds claimed him off waivers and Wayne did a deal with Ned so L.A. could actually get something back for him.Originally Posted by flyer85
Arroyo makes Ramon Ortiz ground to second...two away and Soriano coming to the dish
Does anybody have a ground ball/fly ball count for this game?...the infielders are staying mighty busy
This has always been the worry with Freel he's is so high energy that any prolonged playing time seems to bring on injuries or slumps. Hence the utility labelOriginally Posted by toledodan
