22 men lob is this really true? for 4-26

And if it is then this has to be a record or close to it.

The box score says 11 were left on base for the Reds today. The Nationals left 6 on.

21 on Yahoo, and yes I think you're right that would be the MLB record.

According to the box score, the Reds left 11 on base. The Nats left six on base.

Are you talking about today's game?

In reality it doesn't matter much when your club scores more runs than anyone in their league.

When a team gets a lot of runners on base, some of them will get left out there.

    No biggie.

doesnt the 21 lob mean that the team left 21 runners on base in total, as in if there were 2 men on and then freel, lopez and dunn all got out without driving them in it would be 6 total left on. when the team really only left 2 on. that might be the difference between the two totals. if that made any sense

Are team LOB counted differently than individual LOB? Like say if the Reds get bases loaded with 0 outs and the next three guys K, is that 3 LOB or 9 LOB (3 x 3)? It seems like the 21(22) LOB is counted by adding up the men LOB by each batter, so then maybe 11 is the number of men actually left on base by the entire team.

Well, agreed - but a hot week last week would sense a letdown anyway this week.

I'd imagine that Freel's gonna start at 2B on Friday if Junior returns.
