Not much to report on that you couldn't see on TV. Let me just say it was friggin' cold, and friggin' wet. Needless to say, I didn't go to Coors Field expecting only four hits.
Anyways, I thought our pitching was flat-out awesome, but we only hit about eight balls out of the infield all night. The wind was blowing out to right before the game started, but then the wind shifted right before the first pitch, and started blowing left to right. Claussen is really the most inconsistent starter we have. He can mow a team down for five innings, and then just completely lose it, like he did tonight...but he didn't pitch badly. Maybe Washington will cure him next time out.
I'm not a doctor, but I wouldn't expect to see Aurilia in the next few days. He took a good two minutes to get off the field after running out a grounder.
I have no idea what they're going to do with Phillips and Freel when Junior gets back. The smart move would be to put Junior in left, Freel in center, and Dunn at first, but you know that won't happen. But I can always hope.
Coors is a great place to catch a game - when it's not in the 30's and raining. Nonetheless, I intend to be back there tomorrow, even though the weather will be more of the same. Harang's on the bump, and I KNOW we won't be shut out again.
