Denorfia and Cueto named players of the month

Farm report: The Reds organization named outfielder Chris Denorfia its Minor League Player of the Month for April. Denorfia, who was recalled to Cincinnati on Tuesday, batted .351 with three homers, 10 RBIs and 11 runs scored in 20 games last month for Louisville. He reached safely in all but one game.

Class A Dayton's Johnny Cueto was named Minor League Pitcher of the Month after going 2-1 with a 3.15 ERA in four starts. Cuerto walked two and struck out 29.

Cueto is so young which IMO makes him a bonafide legit prospect. The kid is only 20

I agree Icehole. Cueto came out of nowhere and is seriously dealing down in Dayton right now. Obviously its a little early in the season but if he keeps his numbers up this season, you will see him climbing up the Reds prospects list. To start the season he didnt even make the Reds top 30 according to Baseball America.

Well he is short, listed at 5'10. He throws a fastball that sits in the low 90s, has a good changeup and slider. I havent see him pitch yet in person, and there isnt much info around on him, so I cant say how good hit pitches really are or if he has good movement on his fastball. Hopefully someone else can chime in and get some more information on him.
