    Annual Kentucky Derby Picks

    Win - Barbaro

    Place - Lawyer Ron

I'm flip flopping on the two.

TeamGriffey picked 2 horses. He's 5, so he gets two.

    Bluegrass Cat and Showing Up.

According to Gracie and Thom on the D-Backs broadcast last night (gawd they are bad) the Derby is held every year in Louisville.

I'm on my way right now to put a few bets down

My wife - who picks on names, is betting on Cause to Believe & Deputy Glitters.

I am going with a Jazil/Point Determined/AP Warrior Trifecta Box and a Lawyer Ron/Brother Derek Exacta Box.

Woohoo Derby Day - one of my favorite times of the year

I think Brother Derek is the favorite.

    I'm going with Sinister Minister.

Sweet - while I was standing in line to buy my tickets, I decided what the heck and put a $2 across the board bet on Bluegrass Cat for the heck of it.

That looks like an $80+ return for a "Whatever" pick. I like it

    Nice!

I was kind of in shock when I saw the payoffs for that horse. I am not much of a horserace type and do not bet on them, but I am enough of a sports fan to know the names and odds of the top 2 or 3 horses. And I always watch the Derby, Belmont & Preakness. I told the wife and kids that a few people who decided to take a chance on that horse (and didn't go for the win on it) were smilin'.
Small market fan... always hoping, but never expecting.
