When did Sean Casey ever have 5 HRs in April

I like the new lighter weight Kearns who is great in the field because he isn't chugalugging around and is now slightly above average on the basepaths but hits a little less HRs. Hes gonna be a .300 25 95 guy with near gold glove defense in RF for a long time IMO

I saw him on real reds yesterday and wow did he look better than last year, looked pretty ripped, way thinner in the face, he really made an effort to condition this off season. I like it, i think the thinner version exploits his strengths better

    Is that absolutely necessary? Honestly.

He looks like a judy hitter out there. What can I say? He hasn't had a respectable season in three years, and I'm the batso one for being skeptical?

At this time in two weeks Kearns will probably have somewhere around 10 homers. As I said, his homers come in bunches and he's about due for one of those streaks.

In July, put together one of the hottest streaks by any player in baseball...from 7/16-7/29 was named the International League Player of the Week in consecutive weeks...in July led all minor leaguers with 14 HR, and from 7/17-7/27 homered in 11 of 12 games (.568, 12 HR, 24 RBIs), including a 10-game homer streak from 7/17-7/24 (10 HR, 24 RBIs)...ten-game homer streak was a Midwest League record and the longest in the minor leagues in 2000...from 7/22-7/24 reached base safely in 14 consecutive plate appearances (9 H, 5 BB), the longest streak in the minor leagues in 2000...on 7/21 vs. Lansing, had five hits.

He's getting hits, he doesn't cost a zillion bucks and he's fielding dandy (nice throw last night) Looks like he's playing baseball to me.

injuries and weight problems, he is a completely new player this year, back to where he was in the minors where he exploited his speed and athleticism not trying to be Adam Dunn at 245lbs and launching HRS. He was never projected as a 40 HR guy

I honestly can't recall one positive comment about anyone from FCB.

Really, no offense intented FCB. I just think you're pushing this past the point of logic. You'll be the first to get credit if you're right though.

This reminds me of the time when I made up some story to impress some of my friends at college. Unfortunately a friend caught me in a lie, I tried to dig myself out, but just kept coming up with excuses and digging deeper
We'll win it all next year...

Is it necessary to pile it on?

You seem to think you are the only poster on here who can have an opinion.

Hey now, FCB is a solid poster around here, despite his trepidation to all things Kearns.

Alright, I suffered through the most boring commencement ceremony I can ever recall being at (and that includes 8th grade "graduation" from St. Andrews in Milford) -- I need a Reds victory today.

Win, or I start posting cap and gown pictures!
