3 run bomb...4-2 Cards, bottom 8. Why would Jose Mesa pitch to him?

Because there were runners on 1st and 2nd w/ no one out. You can't load the bases w/ no outs in a 2-1 game. Putting the winning run in scoring position.
Where would the Cards be without him. What is that his 4th or 5th late innings homer to pull out a game for them? I know the game isnt over yet, but jeez. They would be down with the Cubbies fighting over 5th.
Rabid Astros Fan !
Mesa wants everyone to see the highlights on Sportscenter and Baseball Tonight of him giving up the lead, in hopes Omar Vizquel especially will see it and talk about how Mesa choked. Than Mesa can get back to throwing at Omar again.Originally Posted by edabbs44

Pujols is on pace to hit 81 homers.
And not far behind, Carlos Lee is on pace for 74.
My dad got to enjoy 3 Reds World Championships by the time he was my age. So far, I've only gotten to enjoy one. Step it up Redlegs!
That's "Sir Albert" to you and George Grand.
Close to last place. Pujols singled handedly drives the Cardinals offense right now.Originally Posted by Astrobuddy

Agree totally, but hey do have him, but is a no brainer MVP at this point of the season.Originally Posted by Astrobuddy
Funny you should ask that. My response is that they would be darn near where the Astros were last year before Berkman came backOriginally Posted by Astrobuddy

Without Pujols, the Cardinals wouldn't have much of an offense right now. The Cardinals pitching staff does have the lowest ERA in the NL though.

Pujols HR'd again today in the 1st inning. 2-R shot off of heck strained Byung Hyun Kim.

Your Mom is happy.
Will fans become excited about the homerun chase at the 70 mark? Or will it be the 80 mark?Originally Posted by savafan
