    Jeff Francis or Kerry Wood?

Who would you pluck off the waiver wire in a standard 5x5 league? Wood's supposed to come off the DL next week and has hit 97 on the gun, striking out 12 in his rehab assignment.

I would go after Wood, not expecting him to last long but maybe he will give you some solid numbers in the short term. Also, if he has a couple of good outings you may be able to sell high
More often than not, when someone is telling me a story all I can think about is that I can't wait for them to finish so that I can tell my own story that's not only better, but also more directly involves me.

Agree, on all counts. Sell him by the All-Star break.
