    Calling Harangatang the weather man...

Any chance at all we get a game in tonight? I'm thinking of heading down to the park after work, but not sure if I should even bother. I don't mind sitting in some rain as long as they're playing, it just means I get to move to basically any seat in the ballpark with my $5 ticket. I know it's looking ugly right now, but what do you think the chances of them getting a game in tonight are?

I was just going to ask the same question. I was planning on making the trip south this afternoon, but I am not sure if I should bother. My problem is that I aready have tickets.

    Opinions and updates are appreciated.

    Here is tonight's forecast:

Periods of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 10pm. Low around 57. Southeast wind 13 to 17 mph becoming west. Winds could gust as high as 28 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

I have a feeling they get the game in but there will probably be some long delays. They will try hard to get this in because otherwise it is a double header tomorrow.

Looks like we'll get the game in just fine tonight, possibly even without delays. The system is moving south to north and there doesn't seem to be much activity following the band that's going through Cincinnati right now.

It's early enough in the afternoon so it should have plenty of time to get through the area without affecting tonight's ballgame.

    Hmm,

Depending on what tonight means a 30 MPH gust could cause for some interesting OF play.

We can only hope that the wind is gusting towards the outfield when the Reds bat and then switches directions and gusts towards homeplate when the Nationals are batting.

Calculating furiously now...if no game today, then Harang tomorrow and Arroyo pushed back to Friday to face Hamels.

I will take that scenerio over Williams vs. Hamels for $200.00, Alex.

I know a lot of you don't like weather.com much, but it's now saying that at 6 there's a 60% chance of t-storms, at 7 there's a 50% chance of scattered storms, and at 8 and beyond there's only a 40% chance of scattered storms. Looks like I'm crossing my fingers and heading down to the ballpark tonight. Screw you weather!
