    I need power...

    C - J. Mauer - 1 HR
    1B - C. Delgado - 12 HR
    2B - B. Phillips - 3 HR
    3B - E. Encarnacion - 5 HR
    SS - J. Reyes - 1 HR
    OF - A. Kearns - 6 HR
    OF - R. Freel - 0 HR
    OF - J. Pierre - 0 HR
    UTIL - M. Young - 1 HR
    UTIL - S. Podsednik - 0 HR
    BN - J. LaRue
    BN - K. Griffey Jr.
    DL - M. Sweeny

I have some great pitching, and tons of SB, but I can't win without power!

    SP - P. Martinez
    SP - R. Halladay
    SP - B. Arroyo
    SP - M. Morris
    RP - B. Wickman
    RP - T. Coffey
    RP - H. Street
    BN - J. Towers
    BN - R. Dempster
    BN - J. Washburn

The guy in my league who has Pujols, C. Lee, and Holliday is looking to get some saves, and I offered him Wickman and Street for Lee. He is still considering.

The other guy who has P. Konerko is looking for some more SB so I thinking about offering him Podsednik and Phillips.

The guy who has P. Burrell is desperate for Wins, so I'm also thinking about trading Arroyo and if that's not enough throw in T. Coffey and insert Dempster in my lineup.

Other guys I'm chasing are R. Howard, A. Dunn, and A. Jones

    Any suggestions would be great.

    Re: I need power...

First off, how many teams in this league and what categories do you use. I'm guessing there are at least 14 teams in this league, and even still, you have no business having Josh Towers on your roster unless he's family.

Dempter and Street are your main closers. They should be in your lineup everyday, and I wouldn't trade either of them. What's on your waiver wire, because you have a lot of guys I'd potentially drop. Towers, Washburn, and possibly Matt Morris for pitchers.

I'd drop Sweeney out of the DL spot and put Jr on your DL and then pick up someone else, anyone that's hit over 6 HR.

Arroyo for Burrell would be a good deal trade wise, but I don't think you have the depth at SP that it would benefit your team to do it. Adding Coffey does nothing for that trade, even if your league counts holds.

I'd look to move your one or a couple of your SB guys. Personally, I'd keep Reyes, even though you have Michael Young. Try and deal Posednik, Pierre, and maybe Freel. Not sure what you could get for them as Freel and Pierre are currently really struggling. You might be able to pull a Podsednik for Richie Sexson trade right now. Sexson is hitting under .200 right now, and most of his owners (me included) are losing patience with him. He'll still likely hit at least 35 HR's this year, meaning he'll get 30-32 more between now and the end of the season.

Let me know how many teams are in this league, what categories you score, and what's on the waiver wire, both pitching and hitting, and I'll be able to give you more advice.

Sound advice, you obviously don't get extra points for winning a category by a lot so you can afford to trade SB's and if you have Reyes, Freel, Pierre, and Podsednik, somebody needs SB's. Look for a Sexson type who is currently struggling but has consistently put up good numbers.
More often than not, when someone is telling me a story all I can think about is that I can't wait for them to finish so that I can tell my own story that's not only better, but also more directly involves me.

I would definitely trade Arroyo. He's a guy who will most likely not keep doing what he's done to this point. Also, I would dump Sweeney. It's not for certain when he'll be back and like Jr he is always getting hurt. You could package JR and Sweeney in a trade becasue there is always an owner who will take a gamble. Keep checking the waiver wire esp. for OF's. There is always a rookie OF every season who makes it to the Show and opens eyes immediately.

    Re: I need power...

8 teams R, H, HR, RBI, SB, BB, GIDP, E, AVG, OBP, OPS, W, CG, SHO, SV, ER, HR, K, ERA, WHIP, H

Right now the best guys on the wire are C. Floyd who's struggling mightily, and an angry manager just dropped A. Huff.

    Others include R. Belliard, P. Polanco, K. Lofton, D. Delluci, D. Johnson, R. Sanders, D. Mientkiewicz, A. LaRouche, M. Matheny, Y. Molina, J. Lugo, M. Ellis, P. Feliz, C. Biggio, D. Young, and C. Monroe

    Pitching is J. Lieber, K. Foulke, J. Westbrook, K. Wood, B. Radke, D. Lowe, J. Suppan, K. Farnsworth, S. Chacon, C. Silvia

I just got offered a trade A. Beltre for EdE???

Edit: I just dropped Towers and picked up Lowe.

    Re: I need power...

Run to your waiver wire and pick up Kerry Wood. Even if you don't like him. He'll be back next week and you can use him as trade bait down the road. He gives you pitching depth. Drop Washburn for Wood. Picking up Lowe for Towers is an ok move. I would probably drop Matt Morris and pick up Lieber as well. Lieber is a decent pitcher, he's just had a string of bad luck. Morris' days are coming to a close. He can't K anybody and he's just not his old self.

As for offense, geez. 8 team league and that's all that's on your waiver wire?

Drop LaRue (you have Mauer, you won't need LaRue) and pick up Huff or Floyd. As for the other drop, I'm not sure, but I'd try and get both Huff and Floyd. I was thinking maybe dropping Freel, but you could probably use him in a trade.

Don't do the Beltre for EdE trade. Stick with Eddie. Beltre is really struggling and plays in a premier pitchers park. EdE plays at GABP, keep him.

Have you tried to offer Podsednik for Sexson yet?

Wow, talk about annoying. I was in a team with all my buddies, and they decided that they got bored, so they deleted the league. Thanks anyway.
