    River Downs

Looking for help/info about the track.

My daughter is a horse fanatic, and we're thinking of driving up this weekend, catching the races in the afternoon and maybe a Reds game in the evening.

How is the entertainment value there?

Parking is free, admission is free. Isn't much else to do except bet on the horses.

On top of that, you can even watch horses on TV and bet on them as well.

I don't know if stable passes are still available.

Here's the other question - are they open yet?
Some people play baseball. Baseball plays Jay Bruce.

According to the lady who answered the phone, yes. Full schedule this weekend, too.

It's the most family friendly track I've ever been to. For whatever that's work, I mean its still a track.

I'd recommend letting your daughter pick some horses or she might get bored after awhile. Before the races you can get pretty close to the horses in the paddock. It's to the right of the grandstand if you're facing the track.

Turfway Park is better, but I'm not sure of their schedule anymore.
