    Rick White

Rick is supposed to be this seasoned vet to help bolster our youth and carry this team. He almost cost us the game last night. My question is how many more times do they keep calling him out before they've had enough. If it were me when Milton is ready to come off the DL I would give White his walking papers. Giving up shots to Johnson, base hit to a pinch hitting Livan Hernandez! and it only seems like he gives up the runs when the Reds are close in a game. Not to boot but his ERA is at 6.48.

No defense of Rick White, but... it can be said that Rick White's big butt should have never of gotten off the bullpen bench (other than to walk to the clubhouse after the REDS won it in 9 innings) if not for a few things that happened before extra innings became a reality.

Okay... back to Rick White! Mercker isn't far behind big Rick in my world.

Time to DFA ... cut bait - if we have to live with Milton when he returns - let the lizard take that role.

Hammond, White and Mercker are all stiffs. Just imagine if Cincy, in Game 7 of the NLCS, has to face Delgado in the 7th inning, bases juiced and 2 outs. Mercker and Hammond in the pen the only lefties in the pen. Coffey would be the obvious choice, but we have no lefty who can get a lefty out, including the ones in the rotation.

At least Mercker has a solid track record ... he's been a very solid reliever over the years.

Why can't we bring up Milachek from Louisville? He is doing damn good.

I'd like to see the Lizard in the long role with Belisle in the set up role with Coffey in the closers role.

The Last 2 outtings for White haven't been great. But - Other then that White has been pitching well and I've seen his heater hit 94 mph on the gun....

Burns has some impressive numbers too. Maybe he's figured it out?

When its 94 and straight even I could adjust to it and hit it.

    Re: Rick White

White only posted a sub 4 ERA last year because he reduced his HR by 75% last year (a fluke). He gave up 3 in 78IP. This year he has already given up 4 thus his ERA shooting up well past 5.
