Dunn at 1B - finally. IMO he should start there at least 2-3 times a week with Aurilia out.

I'd take Kearns over dunn in the 4 hole to switch up the righty lefty. Dunn struggling a bit. I'd say the manager has done a good job with little tweaks like this. I like it.

I'm going to agree with others who say they're glad to see Griffey back. His frequent-contact, high power is just the element this team is lacking. They have massive patience (Dunn, Enc, Mangione) and middling contact power (Lopez, Kearns); Junior wraps it all up in one (power and contact and decent patience). Like a Junior Burrito.

The lineup I was screaming for before the season was this exact eight, except with Pena instead of Phillips (and Freel at 2B).

I hope they prove me right.

Incidentally, reds44, those pictures are hilarious, I'd love to see them (and others) brought out from time to time.

Latest weather update from Marc's blog

Also, the tarp is off the field, though it still doesn't look real good out there.

Wow... it's a team with a higher ERA than the Reds'. Even though the Philly bullpen is much better at this point, the non-Myers starters have been bad enough that the Phillies have a 4.70 mark. Meanwhile, the Reds' ERA has been dropping like a stone- all the way to 4.44, good for ninth best of 16 in the league.

If we'd been ninth in ERA last season, we would have finished over .500 easily.

Here's a better picture of Junior from his days with Moeller. Hope this works...
