And yet the Reds are third in the NL in runs scored. Perhaps batting average w/ RISP and runs scored are not as dependant on each other as Marty thinks?

I only listened to the first two callers mentioned above and aside from these folks being genuinely stupid, I also thought, "What is Steve? Chopped liver?"

Oy vey! And that caller went on about getting Tracy Jones in there, dancing around about three, but you knew he wanted Steve out.
And what is he talking about? Marty and Tracy? OMG! Please, no!
I know that's a sore spot for some people, but Marty is the celebrity. If I waited on hold for a long time, I'd rather talk to Marty than Vanillia Steve as well. Heck, there's a good portion of people that call in just to rile Marty up.
I know Marty hates the bannana phone, but instead of taking turns on calls with Steve, Marty should do the initial greeting, and then let Steve help fill in the conversation.

RISP might not be the "be all-end all" stat but I sure wish they would take the bat off their shoulders when there is men in scoring position.
I wonder what some of the city slickers in NY or LA or CHI who might have been listening on XM might have thought about some of these people. They probably think that they are a microcosm of all Reds fans and all Midwesterners in general.
