MiLB shows Gardner starting for Sarasota tonight

The lowest acceptable payroll amount for ownership to show they are not greedy pigs is 15 million more than they are currently paying. No matter what that currently is.

Don't know anything else, but there it is. By the time you read this, it may be different or over.

Rainer Feliz, you mean? He's appeared in only three games, doing well in the first but poorly in the next two.

Is this going to be the update thread for the night?

Johnny Cueto, coming off five no-hit innings in his last start, has a perfect game through three innings tonight with 3 strikeouts. Game is currently in a rain delay.

What is that, seven in May?

He may hit 27-30 homers this year.

Gardner walked the first three hitters he faced and then got a force out that scored a run, struckout a batter and got a groundout. The wildness is not a surprise coming from a guy pitching for the first time in a year.

Jay Bruce just tripled in his 3rd atbat...finishes game one of the DH with a 2-for-3 game (HR, 3B). That gives him 25 XBH (13 2B, 3 3B, 9 HR) in just 149 atbats.

    Cueto: 6 innings, 1 hit, 0 runs, 0 walks, 5 strikeouts
