I warned both of you and you threw out another comment. Fortunatly for you, you changed it in time and I reversed your suspension.

    That's what you did.

Id have to guess the only way someone else gets a chance at closing if the owners or GM make Narron do it.

Check yahoo...they always have free ones going on. But you might have to wait for mid-season .

Yeah, focusing on one error in a tight spot like that doesn't do much for me either.

Folks. Live with the tradeoffs. We all loved the AB Felipe had (drew a BB) before JR's slam. We hated his throw in the 10th.
We all loved JR's slam...hated his play in CF
We like Aurilia in the lineup...but he's not a 1B.
Love Dunn's Bombs...hate his defense and RISPy K's

This is the team we have. I like it. I liked today's game. I'd prefer some tweaking to mitigate these shortcomings...but it looks a heck of lot better than last year.

Weathers was crying? Didn't he watch "A Leauge of their Own"?

DFA Milton. It will never happen but we can dream, can't we?

This team another starter and at least two more bullpen arms to compete for the wild card spot. IMO.

This loss really hurts. This type of loss is what frustrates the heck out of me; I would rather they have lost the game 5-1 instead of blowing a lead with two outs in the 9th and nobody on base. The Reds could have extended their WC lead to three games had Weathers got the last out.

but still not enough pitching and defense to likely be able to stay in the playoff race

Brad Salmon made his second appearance with the Bats today.
He pitched 2 innings gave up 1 hit and struck out 3 batters.
So far in AAA his stats are: 5 Innings, 3 hits, 0 Runs, 1 BB, 8 K

Maybe they plan on bring him up after he gets some more innings in at AAA?
