all these errors--i just dont get it

Instead of just saying their defense stinks,which is being nice, why cant this team do anything right defensively??? is it contagious with these guys like "oh who's gonna screw up next?? is it mental?!?!?!? the majority of the errors are so routine which makes it all the more maddening..we've given away 3-5 victories this season on errors, dropped foul balls,runners out at second only to have the ball dropped-throwing a would be game-tying runner out at the plate but the catcher drops the ball--making great stops in the infield only to make terrible throws to first??? it's all on the players...no amount of nerron screaming is going to do anything about it....

That was real hard to read. One question mark does just fine.

As for the defense, it isnt that good. It is only above average at 2 positions. Second base and Right field. Everywhere else it is below average with the exception of third base, where Edwins range is above average, but his throws kill sometimes. There isnt a quick fix for it, becuase what needs to happen with the defense, wont happen.

What kills me as they can make amazing plays. FeLo, EE, Freel, and even Griff and then they forget how to throw or make a big mental mistake. The defense has lost countless games. FeLo throw that bounced should have been picked at 1B. Yes, it bounced, but on both ends it hurt. Hopefully some of these young guys can start being more consistant, but now they are killing us.

Also, I would say we have a decent catcher(s) to go with the 2B and RF. We even have a good catcher down at AAA.

I think everyone knew the pitching and defense were going to be terrible. The only players playing in their correct position are Kearns, EE, and whoever is catching.

This team could be at least average defensivley if they put were to in the position they should be in. It doesn't look like that's happening anytime soon.

I don't think anyone expected the defense to be this terrible though. EE, you know there were going to be some struggles from time to time and you know with AD in LF will be an adventure from time to time. Other than that. I don't see what the questions defensively were?? Lopez needs a swift kick in the rear. There is no reason for him to be making the mistakes that he is making. The thing that kills me about the errors in the INF this year for the most part is that they are mental errors for the most part. I understand an agressive E, but 95% of the E's made by Lopes and EE are because they are playing so passive and its horrible to watch.

And that's not even taking into consideration the number of balls that are falling for hits because Adam and Jr. just can't get to them. Griff will catch anything he can get to but his range is not near what it use to be and Dunn is always very shakey
