In another mock MLB draft, I've seen Brett Anderson going to Cincinnati.
Evan Longoria.
Won't be too hard to mock him in the majors ...
The St. Petersburg Times' Marc Topkin reports the Tampa Bay Devil Rays are interested in drafting 3B Evan Longoria (Long Beach State) in the upcoming June draft. He is not related to TV star Eva Longoria.

One Max Scherzer, was off his strict pitch count and dominated a very good Texas team this weekend. His status could shoot up with a couple of more good outings.
Caveat: He is a Boras client.
Colorado and Tampa have been said all along to both be quite enamored with Evan Longoria, and that's great news for the Reds as they are two teams you'd figure would be among the most needy for pitching. Especially TB. KC is definitely taking either Miller, Lincecum, or Lincoln with the first pick, in order of probability in my opinion. I've read a lot of reports that while no one else is terribly enamored with Lincecum as far as a top top pick, although he's definitely thought to be at least a top ten pick in this draft, KC is the one team who's in love with him and happen to have the first pick... I wonder if much of that has to do with affordability? I do think they'll get Miller when all is said and done though.
While we do have a dearth of positional talent in the farm system now, I am not real high on Drew Stubbs and Longoria won't be there by pick 8. Matt LaPorta would be a reach. This is the year the Reds need to get a solid college pitcher ready to contribute in just a couple years at the big league level. And there should be options named Bard, Chamberlain, Scherzer, and Morrow available at pick 8. At the very least a couple of those guys will be there, if not all four.
What's a good site for MLB draft coverage and prospect profiles? I can't find squat.
mlb.com has some stuff. BA usually does as well but most of it requires a subscription.Originally Posted by 2844

what, does BA go around and search for their material on websites?
This is a large part of my job this summer for another sports organization, so it wouldn't surprise me at all if BBA does it.Originally Posted by dougdirt
