Assuming he does (he will eventually)...who goes?
Burns (since he's a lefty)?
White? (since he's pretty much stunk it up)

I thought Burns was right-handed. But I think it will be him, anyway.
Eric Stratton, Rush Chairman. Damn glad to meet ya.
Yes, Burns is a righty, but he'll still probably be the fall guy upon Mercker's return. Of course, it could be the southpaw Shackelford, unless Reds feel like want to hold onto him strictly as a LOOGY.
How can one choose between Burns and White? Watching them pitch is like waiting for the pinata to explode after numerous beatings. One will go when Merck is back and the other will follow shortly with someone being called up from AA or AAA.

Burns is a righty...duh
Dave Williams.... wait a minute....
Probably Burns, although all of them not named Coffey are massively horrible
All of them?
Go Gators!
Send White and Burns packing. Give the ball to a youngster. Better yet, make a move for solid middle relievers.
I would think it would be Burns. He hasn't really gotten any chances to show anything. I wouldn't be against White. Shack has struggled a tick lately so it could be him, but I'd venture to guess it probably be Burns by default, not that there aren't others that could be shown the door.
Early observations....Burns
Burns can't even get guys out with a 14 run lead.

After tonight, Burns is packing his bags and gassing up the car. But then Mercker might not be back that soon.
"Rounding 3rd and heading for home, good night everybody"
Hell, send Burns and Shackleford packing and bring up either, Dumatrait or Coutlangus. Louisville doesn't seem to have much in pitching help, give these young hurlers a look. They both seem to be doing well in Chattanoogaa and both around 25.
