    Cardinals @ Giants

I know it's early to be scoreboard watching but for some reason I believe more than I normally do this year. The Giants have jumped out to a 2-0 lead on the Cards in the first inning.
This is the ol Left Hander rounding third and heading for home.

Chris Carpenter was scratched from his start today because of back stiffness. Brad Thompson is making the start for Carpenter, and apparently, not doing so well. Pujols is 0-1 with a GIDP.

Any word on how serious the injury is to Carpenter? If he's out for any lenght of time thats a big loss for the Cards.

As of now, they believe he will make his next start (next week, MON or TUE).

Umm... are you still watching last nights game on DVR?

Pujols has not hit a HR today. But the score is 2-1 Giants.

That's not what Gameday is showing.

Games tied 2-2 after Jason Marquis pinch hit for the Cardinals pitcher and hit a triple then scored on a single by Eckstein.

Cards look like they are ready to blow this one open BUT Lowry pulls a Houdini and escapes still in a tie game.

Pujols is 1-2 with a single. No HR's, no RBI so far. I repeat, he did not HR today.

The Cards could blow this one open right now, though. Bases loaded 1 out.

Cardinals just had bases loaded with 0 ourts and didnt score a run.

Rolen flew out and Encarnacion grounded into a double play.

Great job by Lowry to get out of that mess. BTW the only time you will every hear me root for Bonds to hit a homerun is when he's facing the Cards.
We'll win it all next year...
