Yikes, no excuse for the lineup and Claussen's not fooling anyone.

Looks like Jerry gave this one up before they walked on the field.
Claussen never fools the Brewers, they basicly have owned him over the past few years.

It actually wasn't a squeeze since the runner wasn't going on the pitch. He only went because LaRue had a tough time getting the runner out at first.

It's basically same-o same-o with him. One good outing, two bad, Inconsistency.

Question: With the off day tomorrow, are the Reds considering skipping over Eric Milton, and going with the three right-handers (Harang, Arroyo, and Ramirez) this weekend?

If so, is Milton available for relief duty?

Because, Claussen will toss a good one every now and then, and it seems like he's turning the corner, and then BLAM, he gets drilled after his good outing.

The other thing I wonder, if he's just suited for the long relief-spot starter.

Here comes the Cincinnati Lumber Company. Aurilia, Kearns and the Hat.

Claussen gets Cirillo on a 3-1 change.

If he would pitch backwards against the Brewers he would have a lot more success

Another bad habit Claussen's gotten into is that he's slowed down between pitches.

    Pitch count through 2 innings - 39.

    Not long for the evening.

It can be considered a safety squeeze, however. In a safety squeeze, the runner at third waits until the fielder commits to 1B before advancing to home.
