Tony Womack has found a home...

    Per Marc's Blog:

    Friday, May 26, 2006
    And there you have it...

The Cubs have purchased the contract of one Tony Womack. He'll wear uniform No. 1, so he will in fact be there in the program, if not in your hearts...
Well, that should put the Cubs back in the thick of things in the NL Central...

How much money does this save the Reds? I know Cubs were only required to pay a prorated portion of the minimum vet salary. I think even a little bit of money that we are not responsible for paying Womack will help.

These upcoming series could be great for the Reds. Not only did they get Womack but Barrett may be serving a suspension at some point before the home series in June.

Gall, just as a guess I'd say something in the 200k range is all they are paying for him.

Q: Who cares about on-base-percentage anyways?

    A: Apparently not the Cubs.

Like they have anyone to drive them in if they got on base.
