    06/03/06 Reds @ Astros

Thought I'd get the ball rolling, unless the mods have decided to send us to the showers early.

Why do I get the feeling that Freel will be dealt or, less likely, DFA'd? Aurilia can pick it just about anywhere.

They won't DFA Freel with that contract, he's a good backup.

Looks like I need some tutoring in MLB salaries. Where can I find this sort of info?

Speak of the devil, Junior goes the OTHER way for a solo shot.

Freel is way to valuable as a backup outfielder to trade... He means alot to the Red's versatility, if Dunn, Kearns, or Griff needs a rest stick him in the OF and let him navigate, unless you want to see McCrackhead out there.... lol

Suddenly Junior has become a bonafide 5-star player again. Yahoo has this to say about his last plate appearance:

"Last Play: K. Griffey Jr. hit an inside the park home run to deep left".

Still don't know why Phillips was breaking toward first and a ball that was moving away from Aurilia, second-base side. Nevertheless, errors (that should have have been one on Aurilia) continue to plague this team. As for Dunn, he would have been better off running behind the flyball to left-center, instead of toward it then having to cut back toward the outfield wall.

Edit: Man, I must have hit the wrong button or something. It didn't record my previous edit of this post, it seems. Aurilia was charged the error.
