Because in the last week I think i've seen a million ads for it!!!!...Also Toys R Us and even Mejiers has a ton of the merchandise out for it.... Don't get me wrong, I'm taking my little one to it and look forward to seeing it.......I just hope it's decent, anyone seen a sneak preview of it yet?

As far as Pixar flicks go, they're the safest bet in Hollywood. Even their films that get lukewarm advanced buzz (such as Finding Nemo did) still usually end up being amazing movies. Each movie they've done has (seemingly) generated more good press than the last, from Toy Story all the way through the recent Incredibles.

I can't wait for the upcoming Pixar film "Jocks" about anthropomorphic jock straps who compete for athletic glory in a high school locker room. The buzz is good, although I hear the Sports Bra scenes may be a little too mature for kids.

I love Pixar films because of the different levels of entertainment that are presented. Adults can catch the subtle more racy humor that shows up that keeps us entertained, while 4 year old kids are easily entertained by the basic kids storylines. I also love to watch for the celebrity cameos.

This is the first Pixar film that hasn't gotten me excited to see it from teh previews. Hopefully my first impressions are wrong, I'm sure I'll wind up going to see it.
Did anyone see Dreamwork's Over The Hedge?
Yes. Took lil' 2844 to see it last weekend. He liked it. I enjoyed as well. I especially liked Hammy (voiced perfectly by Steve Carell). I thought the castings where spot on.
We plan to see Cars this weekend. The little guy is really excited to see it.
I saw it. Not too bad. With Carrell and William Shatner, and songs by Ben Folds, hard not to like.
My dad got to enjoy 3 Reds World Championships by the time he was my age. So far, I've only gotten to enjoy one. Step it up Redlegs!

My wife and I took our son (4 years old) to see Over The Hedge two weeks ago and the two of us laughed more than he did. I agree with you guys on the casting...each one was perfect. Shatner was hilarious. We will likely be hitting the theater soon for Cars.
This seems to be one of the most-promoted movies in a while. In addition to the two stores you mentioned, Target has a display of their toys and Walmart has both a HUGE toy display and a tee shirt display in a different part of the store. Also, Owen Wilson was on Cold Pizza last week, and they promoted it quite heavily there. And I guess I should mention that Kellogg's is putting free toy cars in some of their cereals. There are six different vechicles, and my son was disappointed that he got "Toe Mater" (the tow truck, voice over by Larry the Cable Guy) in each of his first two boxes. What are the odds of that? Is it 1 in 36?
No news here, but this movie/toy thing is a win-win situation for those parties involved. If kids see the movie, they'll want the toys. If they get the toys, they'll want to see the movie. What movie started all of this? Was it Star Wars?
