Elizardo Ramirez (3.95) has a better ERA then Josh Beckett (4.46), but if you ask ESPN Beckett is a Cy Young canidate.

The Baseball Writers vote on the award so a 7-2 record, on a high profile team probably does make him a legitimate candidate in their eyes. He does have a nice WHIP at 1.18
