The Reds shoulda drafted Dave Bush?

The Reds shoulda sat on Randa & gone the arb route?

It's like I'm reading my own stuff from the waaaaaaay back machine (aka The Archives).

(Randa to the Pads for two minor leaguers and the 2002 Draft thread, to be specific.)

    15 mins, I believe.

White Sox take John Shelby, son of former major leaguer of the same name.

    I count at least two:

    Larkin and Kearns.

I want to say there was another 1st rounder from the 80's, but I'm not sure.
Thank you Walt and Bob for bringing winning baseball back to Cincy -- it was nice while it lasted..

Cards take Shane Robinson, on base machine from Florida State. Good pick.

Possibly, I guess. But is it riskier for wear and tear, or riskier because of the conversion?

    Cards take Shane Robinson.

The Cards are having a pretty good draft, too.

Ottavino, Chris Perez, John Jay, Mark Hamilton, Degerman, and Shane Robinson.

    Those are all nice picks.

Then they clearly would have been bad picks in rounds 2-4

Oh I am not happy. I think the 5th round pick is the only one that even makes the slightest bit of sense.

Actually, by the time you get to round 4, it's not a bad idea to start grabbing tools guys and risky pitchers with tools and hope to strike gold. All IMO, of course.

I would've prefered to take our college closer with a 4+ ERA here instead of round 2..
