    Denorfia, Olmedo and others

Is there a plan for these guys?

Deno and Olmedo are hitting around .350 at AAA with about .840 OBP. Neither is going to challenge Aaron's home run record, but they seem entrenched at AAA. What is the plan?

At AA, there are many players who should be moved up. I assume the org is waiting for the first half season to end (today). But the entire AA bullpen, at least one starter (Kelly), and a couple of position players seem poised to move up. I assume young Votto will be in AA all year, but offensively even he could move up.

Bailey should be in AA soon (now?). He has been dominant lately in High A ball.

Two of the Dayton starters, Fisher and Ward, are a bit older and have excelled. Should they be in Sarasota?

Denorfia and Olmedo should both be with the Reds in place of McCracken and Castro. Votto, he could probably play in AAA right now as well.
David Shafer has no reason for being in AA at all.
I would leave Bailey in Sarasota for at least a few more starts and see if he can string together several good starts in a row before promoting him. I think when he is on, he can be very good in AA. When he isnt though, how will he be? He needs more consistancy right now, when he shows he has it, challenge him with the promotion.
Fisher and Ward both should probbaly be in Sarasota as well.

The Reds seem to not want guys as backups who don't have years of experince as backups, hence we have a weaker bench.

It does seem like Ward, Fisher and even Johnny Cueto could probably handle promotions to Sarasota. The problem is finding rotation spots for them. Even if Bailey gets moved to Double-A, you've still got Vazquez, Lecure and Avery there, along with Richie Gardner trying to get back in the swing of things.

Also, don't forget they don't want to leave Dayton high and dry either. Aside from Travis Wood, that would really only leave them Robert Manuel and Valiquette as experienced starters, and Valiquette has been struggling tremendously.

Cueto and Wood are young. Leave them at Dayton. Ward dominated again today and Fisher are a bit older, so you can promote them.

You make a good point about the availability of spots at High A. That may well explain the situation.
