so do we have some early guesses about the 2nd round pick?

I'd love to see them take Huff, if he is still available

Maybe another young, speedy outfielder so they can have all-pro talent standing around watching baseballs fly out of the stadium.

For some reason I think it will be Jordan Walden.

For some reason, I'm betting Brett Anderson. I remember reading his scouting report over the winter and he for some reason screamed "future Reds TJ candidate" to me.

Only if Miller signs, wouldn't be surprised he doesn't.

This is this administrations first draft, give them the benefit of the draft.
I couldn't agree more. Look at how Howington, Gruler, etc have turned out.
Grabbing pitching and hoping you have enough sheer numbers has failed in the past.
The draft is such a long term planning thing, it's smart to always draft the best guy.
Imagine how screwed we would've been if we drafted pitching (that didn't pan out) instead of Kearns/Dunn that one year.
[Phil ] Castellini celebrated the team's farm system and noted the team had promising prospects who would one day be great Reds -- and then joke then they'd be ex-Reds, saying "of course we're going to lose them". #SellTheTeamBob
